Merka Building Solutions has been founded by Maryam Hosseini P.Eng. Maryam is a Professional Engineer with 20 years of experience in HVAC and Mechanical Systems across different industries of Construction (Residencial, Commercial, Industrial) as well as Marine and oil and gas. Her involvement in the industry over the course of her career has been in maintenance and new-building supervision, Inspection on behalf of authorities, equipment engineering sales, as well as basic design, functional and detailed design, commissioning, and energy audits.
She has been directly trained by York factory and JCI on Controls Systems and HVAC equipment (Water-cooled and air-cooled chillers and HPs, VRFs, AHUs, RTUs and FCUs) during her project management work experience with Johnson Controls where she successfully managed more than 50 HVAC projects with a wide range of complexity and monetary value located in US and Canada.
She was a finalist in Canadian Ocean Supercluster Challenge with the ideas on increasing the energy efficiency of Vessel’s HVAC system where she had developed the ideas during her involvement with the design of Offshore Oceanography Science Vessel of Canadian Coast Guard.
Her career in HVAC started when she did her Co-op at Refrigeration Compressors Repair Shop and she stayed within the field since then.
Back in Iran, she ran her own company where a team of 30 technicians were hired providing services to Iran Hydro clients (as a general contractor) and commercial, residential, and Industrial facilities as direct clients for their HVAC and facility maintenance needs.
